Tonight in Tokyo the bouts were decided for the Deep Jewels Atomweight tournament that is taking place at Deep Jewels 32, on March 7th at Kourakuen Hall. There are four other fights on the card, including a 52kg title match between Miki Motono and Seika Izawa. The winners in the opening round of the tournament will fight again in May, where the winners of those fights will fight again the same night. Leading up to the event, we will be releasing interviews with a couple of the participants so please keep your eyes out for those.
In order to decide the matches, numbers, 1-8, was placed in envelopes. The fighters then played rock, paper, scissors, with the winner getting to pick which envelope they wanted first. Park finished 7th place in the rock, paper, scissors but drew the number 1, so she got to pick which match she wanted to be in first. She decided to be in the 3rd match. After her went Nisse, who surprisingly decided to fight Park in the opening round.
Next up was Aya, who decided to be in the second match. In a repeat occurrence, Sakura decided to fight Aya instead of picking another match to be in.
Next up was Saori Oshima who decided to be in the 4th match, the co-main event before Miki Motono and Seika Izawa and in what was becoming a theme, Emi Tomimatsu chose to fight her. With no options left, Hikaru Aono is pitted to rematch Emi Sato in the first fight of the tournament.
