It is being reported while she was attempting to cut weight for her second attempt to weigh in, Sakura started hyperventilating and shaking and was then transported to the hospital via ambulance. She was released at around 11:30 that night. When talking with the media after Deep Jewels 32, Saeki commented that this miss was more serious than her miss on the Rizin New Years Eve show. When Sakura missed weight for Rizin, she had only received notice that she would be fighting ten days before the fight was to occur.
In this instance, Saeki is more critical because Sakura had the proper amount of time to prepare. Gong Magazine is reporting that Saeki is thinking of how to punish Sakura, citing to when King Reina was given a six month suspension for missing weight twice.
Perhaps in a reference to Amiba, who weighed in late, Saeki said he is considering issuing a yellow card to any fighter who weighs in late. Finally, in an interesting statement, Saeki said he is considering a requirement that fighters have to be within 3kg of their target weight the day before the weigh-in.
