Looking to build upon their already strong relationship with the Korean MMA scene, Deep agreed to send 5 fighters from 5 different divisions to Suwon, where they will face 5 representatives of Black Combat, a rapidly emerging new promotion that has embraced the power of Youtube in order to create content that seems like a cross between Breaking Down, Rizin’s Landmark series (pre-cage), and Rizin Confessions. Scheduled for February 4th, Black Combat V will see Saori Oshima (10-2) face Ye Rin Hong (4-2), Seigo Yamamoto (4-10-1) face Jong Hoon Kim (4-0), Daisuke Nakamura (34-22-1) face Min Woo Kim (10-2), Juri Ohara (31-18-3) face Da Won Yoon (5-4-1), and Yukinori Akazawa (3-5) face Won Jun Choi (5-5).<\/p>\n\n\n

Combining the exclusivity of Landmark and Breaking Down with the story building of Rizin Confessions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Having been founded just last year by a mysterious influencer, Black Combat has fully embraced the power of Youtube and in doing so, they’ve achieved truly impressive growth. Their Youtube channel now has close to 400,000 subscribers, with the videos associated with this event receiving several hundred thousand views in just a couple days time. Overall, the promotion has generated over 249 million views on Youtube. Their videos show a lot of behind the scenes footage, fighter interviews, and really do a good job of story-telling, getting the viewers invested in the fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the lead-up to the fight has been wide-spread and easy to access, watching the event live is an exclusive opportunity for a select few. For those that can’t make it to the venue, the fights will be aired at select CGV<\/a> theaters throughout Korea. Those outside of Korea will have to wait till the fights are uploaded to Youtube at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those wanting to watch it live will need to go to the Suwon Convention Center, located roughly an hour away from Seoul. Tickets are still available, with prices ranging from $60 to $400 a ticket.
